Bobby "Boris" Pickett (1940 - 2007)

Bobby "Boris" Pickett, whose dead-on Boris Karloff impression propelled the Halloween anthem "Monster Mash" to the top of the charts while cementing his place as one of pop music's most enduring one-hit wonders died of leukemia April 25 in Los Angeles. He was 69. (Source: Variety.com)

Kitty Carlisle Hart (1910 - 2007)

Kitty Carlisle Hart, whose long career spanned Broadway, opera, television and film, including the classic Marx Brothers movie "A Night at the Opera," died after a battle with pneumonia, her son said Wednesday. Kitty was also one of the celebrity panelists on the popular game show "To Tell the Truth." She was 96. (Source: Townhall.com)

Don Ho (1930 - 2007)

Hawaii has lost one of its most popular attractions with the death of Hawaiian entertainer Don Ho. Ho died yesterday morning at the Queen's Medical Center of heart failure at age 76. Ho is survived by his wife Haumea and 10 children. (Source: Honolulu Star-Bulletin)

Roscoe Lee Browne (1925 - 2007)

Actor Roscoe Lee Browne, whose rich voice and dignified bearing brought him an Emmy Award and a Tony nomination, has died. He was 81. Browne had guest roles on television hits such as All In The Family and The Cosby Show, for which he won an Emmy. (Source: AP via Hollywood Reporter)

Kurt Vonnegut (1922 - 2007)

Kurt Vonnegut, the Indianapolis-born literary giant behind seminal 20th century novels "Slaughterhouse-Five" and "Breakfast of Champions," died Wednesday evening at age 84. He had been ill after suffering a fall several weeks ago. (Source: IndyStar.com)

Robert Ripley in 1900, 1910 & 1930 Census

We found cartoonist and curator of the bizarre, Robert Ripley, listed in the 1900 Census in Santa Rose, California -- the town where he was born. His household included the following members: Isaac D Ripley 45, Lillie D Ripley 3, Leroy Ripley 9, and Effie Ripley 7. He appears in the 1910 Census with his mother, and Douglas E Ripley 5 living in San Francisco. In 1930, he is living by himself in New York.
